Curative Properties and Benefits of Potatoes

Potatoes are a food very rich in substances with properties that can bring benefits to our body. The plenty of potassium contained in it is very useful in case of hypertension , they also contains trace elements and minerals such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus and iron.

To get potatoes with water purifying properties is sufficient to obtain a potato, wash it, cut it carefully into small cubes ( taking care not to remove the skin ) and soak them for a whole night in a quart of salt water. After filtering all you have to drink a glass every morning on an empty stomach.

Potato also fights water retention, in fact, the high content of potassium, helps the body to eliminate excess water. Many substances with medicinal properties are contained in the skin, so the ideal would be to cook it whole, baked or steamed, and eat it with the peel. To combat water retention is recommended in fact a diet of potatoes: For 2 days to eat 5 times a day 200 grams of unsalted potatoes and cooked in their skins and drink plenty of water.The high potassium content helps to eliminate stagnation of water and with them slag and toxins, thus purifying the blood .
